“Anxiety is not always a warning. Sometimes it is a story your brain writes to chase certainty.” — Teetothe
Intention
A thought pops up and suddenly your brain builds a whole disaster movie around it. You start scanning for what could go wrong, what people might think, and how you will handle it if everything falls apart. Because you are used to carrying the emotional load, your mind tries to predict every outcome so you can stay in control. But overthinking is not wisdom. It is often fear wearing a planner. You do not need to solve imaginary problems to be safe. You need to come back to what is true right now.
Intention: Separate facts from fear so you can take your next step without spiraling.
Mindset Shift
You can feel anxious and still be safe. You can be unsure and still move.
Try This
- Ask: What is actually true right now, in this moment?
- Make two lists: Facts (provable) and Stories (assumptions).
- Pick one “story” and write: evidence for, evidence against, and the most neutral realistic outcome.
- Do one 5-minute task that supports the facts, not the fear.
Say This Daily
“I release imagined outcomes. I return to what is real, what is here, and what I can do next.”
